FLC Sam Son Golf Links is located on Ho Xuan Huong Street, Quang Cu Ward, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa Province. The course is situated right at the mouth of the Ma River flowing into the East Sea, only 17 km from Thanh Hoa city center and about 170 km from the capital Hanoi via the expressway.

This is the first coastal links golf course in Vietnam designed by Nicklaus Design, maximizing the sand dune terrain and sea breezes to create a true British-style golf challenge right on the North Central coast.

Course Design and Architecture

FLC Sam Son Golf Links was designed by Nicklaus Design – the legendary golf course architecture firm founded by Jack Nicklaus, and constructed by Flagstick Golf. The course features a traditional British links style, with fairways winding between natural sand dunes and continuous sea breezes blowing from the mouth of the Ma River.

The course has a total length of 7,242 yards from the black tees, Par 72 with 18 holes. The difficulty is rated with a Slope Rating of 141 (black tees) – classified as an "extremely difficult" course according to USGA standards, requiring golfers to have a clear strategy for every shot.

True coastal links course: Fairways run between natural sand dunes, and constantly changing sea breezes make every round unique.
Deep and strategic bunkers: Bunkers are placed at critical positions, forcing golfers to choose accurate lines rather than just relying on power.
Platinum Paspalum Grass: The entire surface uses premium Platinum Paspalum grass, which is highly salt-tolerant and maintains a deep green color in coastal conditions.
Variable sea breezes: The Ma River mouth location creates constantly shifting wind patterns, turning every golf hole into a different tactical puzzle.
