NEU Golf Championship 2026 Concludes Successfully with Over 300 Golfers at Long Bien Golf Course

On October 17, 2026, the annual NEU Golf Championship 2026 wrapped up in spectacular fashion at Long Bien Golf Course in Hanoi. Hosted by NEU Golf Club to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the National Economics University (1956 – 2026) and Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13), this year’s edition reached a historic milestone by bringing together over 300 golfers representing generations of alumni and graduate cohorts. Founded in 2016 by a dedicated group of alumni, the NEU Golf Championship has grown over the past decade into the flagship annual sporting and cultural gathering of the National Economics University Alumni Network (NEU Alumni). What began as a grassroots fellowship outing has evolved into an unmissable autumn tradition for business leaders, executives, and former students who share roots at Vietnam’s premier economics institution.

While the 2025 edition at Long Bien marked the tournament’s 10-year journey with more than 200 players, the 2026 season surged to an unprecedented scale with over 300 golfers on the tee sheet. The 2026 tournament held special significance as the National Economics University celebrated its 70th anniversary (1956 – 2026). Throughout this landmark year, vibrant golf activities across faculties and cohort clubs—from the “Spirit of Management” tournament and the 30-year reunion K34 NEU Golf Championship 2026 to charitable scholarship drives supporting incoming freshmen—all built momentum toward the grand autumn finale: NEU Golf Championship 2026.

The official 70th-anniversary emblem and the motto “Innovation – Aspiration to Reach Far” stood proudly across the main backdrop, team placards, bronze drum trophies, and medals—rekindling deep pride as hundreds of alumni reunited under the NEU banner.

Solemn Flag-Salute Ceremony and a Vibrant Parade of Alumni Cohorts

From early morning on October 17, the Long Bien Clubhouse lobby buzzed with warm handshakes and lively conversation as classmates and fellow alumni reunited. At the reception desks set up and operated by the WinGolf team, hundreds of door-gift bags bearing the WinGolf – Booking, Tour and Event emblem stood neatly arranged to welcome over 300 golfers checking in and picking up their navy-and-white NEU Golf Club polo shirts before heading out to the turf square.

The opening ceremony left a lasting impression as cohort teams lined up in long formations before the stage behind their respective class and chapter placards: from senior cohorts K33, K34, K36, K37, K38, K39, K40 and the combined K41+K46 squad to clubs such as DMG, NMN, and B52. Under Hanoi’s crisp autumn sunshine, the national flag-salute ceremony unfolded with solemn emotion as a giant red flag with a golden star and rows of ceremonial banners billowed across the Long Bien fairways, officially kicking off a day of spirited competition.

Grouping and competing by graduation cohort is the defining cultural hallmark of the NEU Golf Championship. Every cohort steps onto the tee as a true “home team”—showcasing the distinct identity of their class year while rallying behind one another across all 18 holes in pursuit of the coveted Team Championship title.

Thrilling Shot-Making on Long Bien’s Fairways and Intergenerational Camaraderie

With more than 300 players competing on the same day, tee-time scheduling and flight routing across Long Bien’s courses were executed with precision to keep pace of play smooth. The atmosphere heated up quickly with closely contested leaderboards—from booming drives off the tee and deft bunker recoveries to nerveless putts on fast, undulating greens. Excitement rose even higher at the Par 3 holes thanks to a lucrative lineup of Hole in One (HIO) prizes backed by Noressy and partner sponsors.

Beyond the quest for trophies, 18 holes at Long Bien bridged the gap between generations. Within each flight, senior alumni gladly shared green-reading tips and club selection advice with younger graduates, while walks down the fairway sparked fond memories of university lecture halls and opened doors to new business collaborations. Prestigious Gala Awards Night and Gold-Plated Dong Son Bronze Drum Trophies

Following an exhilarating day on the course, the evening Gala Dinner celebrated the standout teams and individual performers of the 2026 championship. The visual centerpiece of NEU Golf Championship 2026 was its bespoke collection of gold-plated Dong Son Bronze Drum trophies mounted on solid wood bases, engraved with “NEU Golf Championship 2026 – Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of NEU (1956–2026)” for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Team winners as well as individual division champions.

Complementing the bronze drum trophies, the winning team also received custom-minted Champion Team medallions framed by a golden laurel wreath, featuring the NEU Golf Club crest alongside the 70th-anniversary emblem of the National Economics University.
